Rev. Fr. Gilhooley will be received into St James’ Church, Coatbridge on Monday 24 April 2024 for 6:30pm.
The Funeral Mass will be in St James’ Church, Coatbridge on Tuesday 25 April 2023 at 11:30am followed by interment in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Airdrie at 1:30pm.
The Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Toal to officiate at the funeral.
During Fr. Damien’s time serving the parishes of St Bernard’s and St James’, the staff and especially our Chairman Mr Ian McLaren, enjoyed a mutually professional and personal friendship with Fr. Damien, and on behalf of us all we would like to express our deepest sympathy to his family, members of the parishes he served in, and to his fellow Clergy of all denominations both locally and in the many places he ventured on his cycling exploits will sadly miss him.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
