We provide a caring and professional funeral and memorial service to the communities we serve during and after the loss of a loved one. To deliver this commitment we intend to remain a fully independent family company.
Salary: £30,000 per annum (plus additional on-call and overtime payments)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Based at our Coatbridge and Airdrie funeral homes

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Funeral Director to join our team.
The Role
This is a key position within the business and plays an important role in maintaining our reputation within the local community. The role involves the arrangement and delivery of funerals to the highest standard, supporting bereaved families with care, accuracy, and dignity at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and conduct funerals in line with company standards and client wishes
- Provide compassionate and professional care to bereaved families
- Liaise with clergy, celebrants, crematoria, cemeteries, and third parties
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in line with regulatory requirements
- Lead funeral services and oversee staff on the day
- Assist with removals, care of the deceased, and mortuary duties where required
- Maintain high standards of presentation for vehicles, premises, and equipment
- Participate in the on-call rota and respond to calls in a timely and professional manner
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Funeral Director or within the funeral profession is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, professional, and empathetic approach
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied workload
- A flexible attitude to working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Full UK driving licence (held for at least 3 years)

This role requires flexibility and commitment, including participation in an on-call rota and working additional hours where required to meet the needs of the business.
