The service and cremation will be in Holytown Crematorium on Tuesday 1 September 2026 at 1:30pm.
Following the funeral, all who are able to attend are warmly invited to share memories of Alfie at the Tudor Hotel, Airdrie.
The family have requested no flowers, but donations in memory of Alfie can be made to Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Dear Linda & Family,
On behalf of the entire team at Croftbank House Care Home, I want to extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Alfie. It was a true privilege and an extraordinary honour to care for Alfie and welcome him into our home community. He brought so much light to our days. Please know that Alfie was dearly loved by our nurses, carers, and fellow residents alike, and his presence will be deeply missed in our home. We are also thinking of your family during this difficult time; we always looked forward to your visits and loved seeing the bond you shared. Our thoughts, love, and support are with you all as you navigate this journey of grief.
I also wanted to sincerely apologise for our absence at the funeral. I have been away on annual leave for the past two weeks and unfortunately only received the funeral details upon my return on the 7th of September. I am truly sorry that we was unable to attend and pay our respects in person.
