At the family’s request, we share the following announcement:
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Alan Berwick, aged 69, at Monklands Hospital on 29 October 2026.
A warm and loving husband to Eileen, father to Callum, dog papa to Ozzy, and brother and brother-in-law to David (deceased), Margaret (deceased), Gordon, Christine, Tom and Anne.
A loving uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, especially Andrene, Alana, Helen, Amanda and his special girl Ava, along with all of their families.
His love and laughter will remain in all of our hearts forever, along with the memory of his bravery through it all. He never gave up, and we love you always. 
Alan’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 1.45pm at Daldowie Crematorium. The family kindly request that everyone arrives by 1.30pm.
A viewing will also take place at Donald McLaren Family Funeral Directors, 45 Sunnyside Road between 5-6pm on Tuesday 10 November 2026 for anyone who wishes to attend.
